The Gary is a flat lace-up shoe that’s also perfect for wearing without socks thanks to its unlined finish that prevents rubbing. Its natural design upper is made from especially soft suede, which hugs the foot like a second skin. The insole is covered with a microfiber lining for comfort.

Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. Birkenstock purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. Birkenstock uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.
